Fund Raising Marathon Event For Poor Children
Following the command of Guru sahib, A Sikh or A khalsa should stay healthy, ready and steady to help others .
The organization and the management of Shri Gurudwara sahib under the Guidance of its Mukh Sewadar S.Mohinderbir Singh sachdeva, continuing the support of one local project, which was local first but now known as international NGO called “Sick Pikin project ” .
Pikin, a krio word stands for a child.
This NGO helps the poor and sick children who cannot afford their surgeries abroad, this NGO with help of its supporters raises the funds for those unfortunate children.
After checking and enquiring about their work completely and officially,
Shri Gurudwara sahib began to support this system considering a new way of sewa and raising Helping hands to save a life.
This NGO started a marathon event , a fund raising event to help the children.
In which, from last 4 years Shri Gurudwara sahib hold their position always as Gold sponsors for this event.
By joining as Gold Sponsors where it helps to support the event financially but also participating in run with foreigners gives a true message of humanity, love and peace with no discrimination.
The idea to walk/run to save a life, which helps the supporter also to remain healthy.
Sangat of Shri Gurudwara sahib also tooks part in this marathon with full excitement and enthusiasm.
The donation boxes of NGOs were also held in Gurudwara sahib so sangat can also join in donations. Because when it’s for donations even a single penny matters and that single penny can save a life of someone.
